World Celebration & Dreamers Point Walkways Take Shape in The Pit at EPCOT

Later this year, EPCOT will be free of construction walls in World Celebration. It’s hard to believe, but Disney is making progress toward their “late 2023” goal for opening World Celebration, CommuniCore Hall, and Journey of Water – Inspired by Moana. Recently, we took a spin on the EPCOT monorail to get a look into The Pit and we spotted some progress on walkways through World Celebration and the Dreamers Point area.

First, let’s go over what to expect from Dreamers Point. Here’s how Disney describes the area:

Explore lush gardens, listen to stirring musical performances and delight in festival fun at Dreamers Point. Here, you’ll also discover a statue of Walt Disney—a reminder for us all to dream big.

At the D23 Expo, guests were able to see the Walt the Dreamer statue that will reside in Dreamers Point.

Here’s a look at concept art for the World Celebration area.

Here’s a look at the area as we work clockwise around the site from south to north.

The walkways are spreading through World Celebration from north to south, starting on the west side of Spaceship Earth.
