Walt Disney Imagineering released the second episode of the We Call It Imagineering YouTube series late yesterday, giving fans a sneak peek at not only the work and thought that goes into music at the theme parks and beyond, but also a sneak peek inside Tiana’s Bayou Adventure before it opens to the public.
In this article, we’re going to go frame-by-frame, taking a look at the sneak peek and highlighting the changes that guests can expect from Tiana’s Bayou Adventure when it opens on June 28th. Of course, we’ll have a LOT more content of the ride between now and June, so check back soon when previews for the ride begin.
New Tiana Animatronic in Millhouse
We’ll start right at almost the beginning of the ride to find an improvement over the former version of the ride. After floating through the bayou, guests will turn to enter the second lift hill for the ride and find a Tiana animatronic in a previously empty space.
Tiana’s Foods Garden
After passing through the Millhouse, we’ll enter the Tiana’s Foods garden, where we’ll see Lari the armadillo, and maybe even a certain alligator among the Okra plants.
Shrinking Down
The preview video also reveals new storyline details. It looks like at some point during the ride (perhaps when we drop into the former Laughing Place scene), we’ll shrink down to the size of frogs. As you can see in the screenshots below, we’re roughly the size of a frog (below, right) and a large video screen of Tiana can also be seen (below, left). Louis will also show up in video screen form.
Filled with Animatronics
Inside scenes appear to be filled with the latest audio-animatronics. Scenes will be layered with depth and wonderfully lit, although screenshots of 1080p video leaves plenty to be desired.
Rebuilt Finale Scene
What was once a riverboat finale will now feature the home of Tiana and Naveen – Fluer de Bayou. Once again, the scene is loaded with animatronics and video screens, bringing the set to life.
Secret Spice Finale Song
