Guests driving to Disney’s Contemporary Resort should be aware that a crash along World Drive North is blocking both lanes of traffic this morning. The Florida Highway Patrol is on the scene of a vehicle crash with injuries reported.
Guests traveling to Disney’s Contemporary Resort are being rerouted at W. Wilderness Road/Topiary Lane to the south. Access to Disney’s Contemporary Resort is available when approaching from the north, using either Floridian Way or Center Drive to access the roadway that will take you past backstage areas for TRON Lightcycle Run and Space Mountain before you arrive at Disney’s Contemporary Resort.
Buses to and from Disney’s Contemporary Resort are still in operation, using the modified route to the north of Magic Kingdom for guest transportation. Detours near the Magic Kingdom area resorts are leading to higher traffic congestion, and you should plan for extra travel time if you’re visiting the Magic Kingdom area resorts today.
The crash appeared to be of a nature where the road will not be cleared soon. Disney security Cast Members are directing traffic as the Florida Highway Patrol works the scene.
