The 2024 EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays is underway, and we made it out to EPCOT this morning to take a look at what’s new and what’s returning. New this year is the use of the CommuniCore Hall festival flex space as a merchandise and dining location. I’m on the record as not liking CommuniCore Hall since a June 2024 article that called it “embarrassing”, and the utilization of the space during EPCOT’s festivals hasn’t changed my mind yet. Maybe one day, but today’s not that day.
Anyway, here’s a look at the space, which is split into a merchandise location on one side and a Holiday Kitchen on the other side. In the middle, a gingerbread display of Spaceship Earth plays a light show every 15 minutes. Near the ends of the venue are a new offering called “Glittering Grove”, which really isn’t anything except some Balsam Hill Christmas trees in the windows.
The gingerbread Spaceship Earth light show is the most popular thing in CommuniCore Hall, and it can draw a crowd when the countdown gets down to the last minute or so, but it’s not going to draw people in from outside of the building.

LOL this is so pathetic. I’m so glad I no longer feel compelled to spend my money visiting these sad, overpriced, outlet mall styled theme parks.
