Walt Disney World has begun the process of demolishing the TriceraTop Spin attraction in DinoLand USA. The Dino-Rama section of DinoLand that the attraction sat in closed to guests yesterday, with its final day of operation on Sunday, January 12th. We made it out to Disney’s Animal Kingdom today to take a look at the progress.

TriceraTop Spin Demolition

While the work right now appears to be more careful than a sledgehammer demolition, Walt Disney World has previously stated in a permit that the TriceraTop Spin attraction would be demolished.

The early work that we’ve spotted so far includes the removal of themed panels to allow crew access to the interior of the ride. It’s possible that the early work will preserve mechanics or theming of the ride before a more wide-scale demolition in the land. Here’s a look!

Stay tuned for a final farewell article for TriceraTop Spin!
