CommuniCore Hall is back to normal at EPCOT following an extended run for the GoofyCore Hall offering that was part of Cool Kid Summer. While Cool Kid Summer ended September 1st, GoofyCore Hall kept going for a couple of weeks. Now, CommuniCore Hall has returned to normal. What makes this return to “normal” notable is that we are still very much in the thick of EPCOT’s longest-running festival. It’s interesting that Disney has nothing planned for the space, breaking with recent tradition.
Diet CommuniCore Hall
In 2024, Walt Disney World decided to utilize the CommuniCore Hall venue as part retail, part dining during the EPCOT Food & Wine Festival. The use was far from inspired, but it was something. The best use of CommuniCore Hall came during the 2025 EPCOT International Festival of the Arts, when the space was used for a celebration of 30 Years of Disney on Broadway.
Other mediocre efforts included the 2024 EPCOT Festival of the Holidays and the 2025 EPCOT Flower & Garden Festival.
Now, we have returned to diet CommuniCore Hall. While diet EPCOT is well-known as a time when there is no Festival, diet CommuniCore Hall will now be what we refer to the space as during a time of no additional theming effort. There is basically no theming, and the music includes songs from Disney Springs, such as Fritz Kalkbrenner’s Wichita Lineman. While many a fan site has praised Disney for an air-conditioned space, we maintain that this is embarrassing. It’s also a bit surprising that Disney apparently thinks that diet CommuniCore Hall is better than using it as a retail and dining space like last year. Here are some photos.
The next planned use for the space is a Santa Claus meet and greet during the 2025 EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays.

Even more surprising when you see the extensive theming added to the Odyssey for the Muppets. There are themed tables, 3 video screens, and lots of wall art. Why do we even need a “Chapek” Hall if they are going to use the Odyssey for the same purpose?
