With the start of the 2025 EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays, a new welcome message is now playing at EPCOT. The welcome message features the voice of Walt Disney as an introduction. We made it out to EPCOT this morning to capture a video of the new welcome message!

New EPCOT Welcome Message Features Walt Disney

Here’s our transcript of the new message that plays at park opening:

Walt Disney: The heart of everything we’ll be doing in Disney World will be our Experimental Prototype City of Tomorrow. We call it E.P.C.O.T.

Announcer: Walt Disney believed that imagination would lead humanity to achieve the impossible. EPCOT was built on that dream. A celebration of our world and its promise. Today, we invite you to share in that celebration, and hope that you, too, will be inspired by the Magic of Possibility. For your safety, please walk to your destination. Thank you, and enjoy the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays!
New EPCOT welcome message

It’s wonderful to hear Walt Disney’s voice in any theme park, and we’re glad that Walt Disney World decided to update the welcome message at EPCOT to feature Walt. As you heard, the message is specific to the EPCOT Festival of the Holidays at the moment, but we imagine it will be flexible, changing throughout the year as the seasons change.

Walt Disney is honored at EPCOT with Dreamers Point. Dreamers Point is an area right behind Spaceship Earth that is home to lush gardens and a statue of Walt Disney himself. The area has previously been utilized for live entertainment, although the Activation Alcoves are devoid of entertainment at the moment.
