With a visit to EPCOT earlier today, we noticed that more of the Morocco Pavilion was accessible to guests since our last visit. Previously, the back half of the pavilion was closed off to guests as seen in the photo below.
Now, Disney has reopened the area, but completely cleared the cultural shops that used to provide one of the most immersive shopping experiences at EPCOT. As you can see in the photos below, the various shops have been closed up and windows covered with garments while the bazaar shopping area is now bare of merchandise with only tables for guests to enjoy.
Tangierine Café remains closed to guests after a short reopening back in July before being forced to close due to lack of demand.
On the lagoon side of the World Showcase plaza, Spice Road Table has reopened with a limited menu.
As a reminder, Souk-Al-Magreb reopened recently and features a mix of Aladdin merchandise and some of the stock left over from the previous third-party operator of the pavilion.
Race Against the Sun has remained open throughout the transition of ownership, although some experiences are modified for COVID-19.
At this point its unclear what Disney’s plans for the pavilion are. The company has remained largely silent throughout the takeover.

This World Showcase take over by Disney is horrible! Epcot was always about innovation and culture both of which is being replaced by movie attractions. World Showcase has always been my favorite but at this rate it will be one of my least favorites if all it becomes is a showcase of Disney merch that is all over the parks anyways.
Not Happy with Disney that they changed spice road tables bar it was a lot of fun before it doesn’t look so much now cuz it’s just wine and well I guess it’s just wine not happy
The bar is absolutely horrible now. It used to be a stop on every single Epcot trip, but now they have the same sad drinks as the rest of Disney, for the most part. The Sangria that was very unusual has been replaced with basic, bottled “sangria” and all of their specials have been replaced with standard, syrup-heavy drinks. I probably won’t be back.
