CDC Recommends Vaccinated Individuals Wear a Mask Indoors, Walt Disney World Face Mask Policy Likely to Change

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) officially released new recommendations that fully vaccinated individuals wear a mask while indoors. This new recommendation applies to counties where there is “substantial” or “high” transmission. Orange County, where Walt Disney World is located, is listed as a county of high transmission.

This announcement will likely result in Disney modifying their face mask policy. Disney has consistently followed CDC recommendations throughout the pandemic, and we expect that they will continue to do so in a county where the mayor has declared a “crisis mode” as it relates to the COVID-19 pandemic.
