Guests hoping to purchase their way onto TRON Lightcycle Run today have found record availability as crowds start to recede from Spring Break peaks. TRON Lightcycle Run officially opened April 4th, right during the height of Spring Break crowds this year. With that, it brought a $20 price for the skip-the-line Individual Lightning Lane (ILL) offering, and guests were jumping at the opportunity to secure a ride on Disney World’s newest attraction.
Now, with crowds retreating a bit, the availability of an Individual Lightning Lane for TRON Lightcycle Run has set a new availability record, lasting long past park open. As a reminder, an Individual Lightning Lane is a single-attraction skip-the-line entitlement opens to resort guests at 7am, but doesn’t become available to purchase for non-Resort guests until the park officially opens. That means that Resort guests have had a two-hour start on regular guests and they have mostly been buying up all availability before park open.
According to data from thrill-data.com, TRON Lightcycle Run Individual Lightning Lane availability only makes it to park opening about 35% of the time. Over the last 30 days, TRON Lightcycle Run has typically sold out by 8:50am, just 10 minutes before park open as Resort guests snag all skip-the-line passes. If TRON ILL made it to park open in the past, it usually sold out in 5-10 minutes once non-Resort guests had the ability to purchase an Individual Lightning Lane.
Today, availability bucked the trend and remained open until 9:42am – significantly longer than the previous record of 9:15am during the soft opening period. In this context, we’re referring to “availability” as continuous availability from 7am. That said, there are unreliable drop times throughout the day when ILL for TRON Lightcycle Run might become available. Here’s a look at data from thrill-data.com of TRON Lightcycle Run ILL over the past few weeks. In the chart, a green block represents a return window that is earlier in the day, a yellow block represents mid-day returns, and a red block represents late returns. A grey block represents no availability. As you can see in the chart below, availability tends to pop up occasionally throughout the day as operations allow, so make sure to keep checking back if you missed out on an opportunity to purchase a TRON Lightcycle Run Individual Lightning Lane.
