Good morning from the dawn of a new era at Walt Disney World. Today, the Disney Genie suite of offerings debuts within the My Disney Experience app. As part of the suite of offerings guests can purchase the ability to skip the line at a majority of Walt Disney World attractions. For some of the most popular attractions, guests will have to pay per person, per ride as part of the a la carte Individual Lightning Lane Attraction Selections. In this guide, we’ll have step-by-step photos of how to purchase Individual Lightning Lane with Disney Genie.
First, you’ll have to find the attraction that you wish to purchase an Individual Lightning Lane for. Keep in mind, the price for an Individual Lightning Lane is the same whether you’ve purchased Disney Genie+ or not, and there is no requirement to purchase Disney Genie+ to purchase an Individual Lightning Lane attraction selection.
Here’s the current list of Individual Lightning Lane attractions available for purchase at each park. You are only able to select two attractions per day from this list and the two attractions don’t have to be at the same park.

- Frozen Ever After
- Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure
Disney’s Hollywood Studios
- Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway
- Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance

- Expedition Everest – Legend of the Forbidden Mountain
To find the attraction you wish to purchase Individual Lightning Lane, you can either go to the “Tip Board” or simply search for the attraction and click on the Lightning Lane logo as shown below.
From there, click on the button under the attraction titled “Individual Lightning Lane”. A splash screen will explain what you’re buying.
Once you select an attraction to purchase skip the line access for, you’ll be able to select a specific 1-hour window from available times. If you’re park hopping, the options won’t begin until 2pm as shown below.
Once you’ve selected a return window and the party members that you wish to purchase a skip the line pass for, you’ll have 10 minutes to complete the check-out process as seen below.
That’s it! Return to the Lightning Lane entrance at the attraction during your access window and enjoy the ride.
Note that prices and availability will vary by date but should initially range from $7 to $15 per person, per single ride experience. You can not reride with Disney Genie, but a standby line may be available.
