Disney World is finally getting around to cleaning the filthy TRON Lightcycle Run canopy supports after more than a year. Pictured below, the support structure had a dark black residue present where the ride vehicles complete the outdoor portion of the ride and begin the climb back into the show building for the indoor portion of the ride. This is essentially how the ride has been presented to guests since it opened back in April 2023.
Another portion of the support structure can be seen by guests exiting the ride. This particular structure supports the covered outdoor portion of the queue before guests arrive at the impressive pre-show effect room.
Here’s a look at the cleaned areas from our visit to Magic Kingdom today. Overall, the cleaning looks much better, although it doesn’t appear to be complete – unless Disney World isn’t worried about a spotless appearance.
