Monorail Blue has been taken out of service for refurbishment as maintenance crews continue to keep the Walt Disney World monorail fleet alive long past its due date. Now, Monorail Blue is in the service bay north of Magic Kingdom as it embarks on a weeks-long refurbishment process.
This is the second round of refurbishments for Monorail Blue as the maintenance team is asked to keep the monorail fleet running some 35 years after being put into service. It’s not clear what work is being done during the refurbishment of Monorail Blue at this time.
