A new permit filed by Walt Disney World previews some refurbishment work that will kick off shortly at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort. The work, which is being managed by the Walt Disney World Resort (not Walt Disney Imagineering), is for some roof repairs and exterior refurbishment at the resort. Here are the details.
Yacht Club Roof Repairs & Exterior Refurbishment
The contractor for the work is listed as CEC General Contractors Inc, and the scope of the work to be completed is “Exterior Rehab and Roof Shingle Replacement”. The permit has a blank expiration date, which means that it’ll have the default 1-year expiration date from the date it was filed.
The Yacht Club is already a bit of a construction zone with the ongoing refurbishment of the Stormalong Bay pool, which will be completed in June.
Back in April 2024, Walt Disney World listed a room refurbishment for Disney’s Yacht Club, but mention of that room refurbishment was later removed from the website. Walt Disney World has not returned a request for comment about the removal of mention of the room refurbishment.
For now, it looks like we can expect that an exterior refurbishment of Disney’s Yacht Club Resort will kick off shortly, with some roof work and exterior refurb on the docket.
