A kitchen fire resulted in the evacuation of guests from the Beaches & Cream Soda Shop at Disney’s Beach Club Resort this evening. Videos and photos posted to social media showed guests’ experience of the evacuation, including a short video from Jon Sykes on Facebook. In the short video, a kitchen fire can be seen in the open kitchen at Beaches & Cream Soda Shop. As Cast Members identified the fire, guests were asked to evacuate the restaurant and other areas of the resort.
Other reports on social media said that the fire spread to other hoods after guests were evacuated, but the extent of the damage was not immediately known.
