Monorail Gold is traveling around Walt Disney World again following a multi-month refurbishment. While mechanical updates were certainly made to the aging vehicle, the most obvious visual change is the introduction of new black “deltas” along the side of the monorail. The deltas were previously used to distinguish monorail vehicles that were similar in color, but now they are being added to every vehicle in the fleet. Here’s a look!
Monorail Gold Returns from Refurbishment
First, here’s a look back at Monorail Gold from an archive photo. Notice that there is a solid gold color along the length of the vehicle.
Here’s a look at the newly-returned Monorail Gold on the Magic Kingdom monorail line. The vehicle now sports black deltas under the large middle window in each cab. Here’s a closer look.
