Zootopia: Better Zoogether is an all-new 3D theater show set to open at Disney’s Animal Kingdom on November 7th. The attraction is currently in previews, and we’ve taken a look at some of the details that guests will be able to check out when the attraction officially opens. One of the details that Disney fans will enjoy is a tribute to Joe Rohde! Here’s where to find Joe Rohdent in the Zootopia: Better Zoogether queue.
Joe Rohde Tribute in Zootopia: Better Zoogether
Joe Rohde is not only a legendary Imagineer, but a Disney Legend to boot. Rohde was the creative force behind Disney’s Animal Kingdom, a park dedicated to the themes of animals and their relationships to humans.
Rohde’s impact on not only Disney’s Animal Kingdom, but Walt Disney Imagineering as a whole probably cannot be understated. To that end, current Imagineers have payed homage to Rohde in the all-new Zootopia: Better Zoogether attraction.
Ironically, Rohde is represented in a poster that attempts to retcon the backstory of the iconic Tree of Life structure. More on that bit of drama in our earlier article.
For this article, we wanted to take a closer look at Joe Rohde, ahem, Joe Rohdent, as seen in a poster in the exterior portion of the all-new Zootopia-themed attraction’s queue.
There is an homage to Imagineer Joe Rohde in the exterior queue graphics. He appears as “Joe Rohdent,” a construction worker mouse building the Tree of Life Theater in Zootopia.
Here’s a closer look at Joe Rohdent, sporting the iconic earrings and even a mustache that Rohde rocked during the construction of Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
