Disney has, once again, extended the refurbishment of Primeval Whirl. This marks the fifth time that the attraction closure has been extended while Disney looks for a fix for an unnamed problem. Primeval Whirl is now scheduled to be closed through August 3rd, reopening on the 4th. Of course, at this point there’s no telling when the attraction will be reopened, or if the closure will be extended again.
As far as official statements, Disney has only offered the following:
The Primeval Whirl attraction at Disney’s Animal Kingdom is currently unavailable due to an extended downtime. We apologize for the inconvenience and will reopen the attraction as soon as possible. Guests may check the current wait time and operating status of attractions on the My Disney Experience app.
The rest of DinoLand USA is unaffected by whatever issue is affecting the operational status of Primeval Whirl.
