Disney World’s Pandemic-Era “Book with Confidence” Flexible Cancellation Policy Ends Next Week

As a result of shifting schedules, uncertainty as it relates to travel, or even a possible last minute COVID-19 diagnosis, Walt Disney World enacted a “Book with Confidence” policy that allowed guests to make last minute changes to their hotel reservations without incurring any Disney-imposed change and cancellation fees. This flexibility allowed guests to book their Disney World vacation knowing that even though we are living in uncertain times, they would not be penalized for needing to change or cancel their reservations.

Beginning with Walt Disney World Resort check-ins beginning on (or after) May 1, 2021, the Book with Confidence policy ends and the standard Disney policy returns. This is a significant shift in operations and is another indication that Disney World is looking to slowly return to normal.

The following is the current Walt Disney World cancellation policy for check-ins beginning on or after May 1, 2021:

Walt Disney World Resort Cancellation Policy

    • For cancellations made 1 day or less prior to guest arrival or for no-shows, the full price of the package is non-refundable.
    • No refunds are given for cancellation of any personalized products or experiences.
