UPDATE (8/18: 8pm): The Innoventions background music was removed from the Future World East section of the park, but remains in other areas for now. Our original article continues below.
According video from Brooke Geiger McDonald, the old Innoventions background music has been removed from the Future World East area of EPCOT. The music previously played in the Cool Wash/Future World playground area and was a holdover from before the massive demolition project of the Future World area in EPCOT. With Club Cool and Creations Shop slated to open this summer, it’s likely that Disney decided a change in music was in order before the grand opening.
Here’s a listen to the new background music, which simply recycles the loop that debuted at the EPCOT main entrance back in March.

Gonna miss the Innovations loop music in EPCOT. It was so distinctive and uplifting that you just felt that you were in something special. It has some sort of uniqueness and catchy earworm quality to it that just makes it feel like “I’m at Walt Disney World!”
When will the Disney executives find out that for so many of us Disney is about memories. Sad
