After announcing that the enhanced annual holiday discount would be delayed until December, Disney has also informed Cast Members that their standard discount will not be applicable to the 50th Anniversary Celebration collection of merchandise. The announcement, which called the decision “difficult”, also called the move a “business measure”.
The following product lines will be excluded from Cast Member discounts:
- 50th Vault retro-themed collection
- 50th Anniversary Celebration collection
- Resorts-themed 50th Anniversary Celebration collection
- Earidescent Color Story collection
- Luxe Logo collection
In addition to the collections above, Cast Members will also be prevented from using their standard discount on the Ratatouille Opening Day collection.
Disney said that they hope to reinstate the discount at a later date, but did not provide an exact date or timeframe.
