“it’s a small world” Flooded, Holiday Debut Delayed at Disneyland

According to Disneyland officials, “it’s a small world” experienced flooding that affected machinery and will cause the attraction to remain closed. The closure will mean that the attraction will not open as planned for the holiday season, but Disney says that they have teams working around the clock to fix the problems facing the attraction (via OC Register).

The Disneyland version of the attraction is contained within a flume that is drained to install decorations. During the refilling of the flume, a flood occurred.

No estimated reopening date was given, but the attraction will not open for tonight’s Disney Merriest Nites upcharge event as planned. The attraction has posted operating hours starting November 19th on the Disneyland website.
