To celebrate National Roller Coaster day, Universal Orlando has offered a sneak peek first look at Stardust Racers, currently under construction for Epic Universe. Stardust Racers will be located in Celestial Park, which is the central park of the new theme park. As the story goes, residents of Celestial Park (celestials) have harnessed energy and captured comets to ride.
The racing coaster will be one of a couple of roller coasters at Epic Universe, but it promises to be the top coaster at the park when it opens next year.
A special nighttime lighting package will illuminate the ride vehicles to seem like they are comets flying through the night sky. To accomplish this effect, the ride track itself will not be illuminated.
