UPDATE: Walt Disney World Announces October Closing Dates for Two DinoLand USA Snack Spots

|

Walt Disney World has just announced that two DinoLand USA snack spots will be closing later this month! This comes as construction on the land is moving along well, building to a 2027 opening timeframe. While Trilo-Bites and Dino-Bite Snacks previously didn’t have announced closure timeframes, an October closing reads to us as wonderful progress on the transformation of DinoLand USA into a Tropical Americas-themed area. Here’s the latest!

Trilo-Bites & Dino-Bite Snacks Closing Oct. 20th at Animal Kingdom

Walt Disney World has announced that both Trilo-Bites and Dino-Bite Snacks will have their final day of operation on October 19th, and both locations will be closed permanently beginning October 20th.

Fans of the Buffalo Chicken Chips from Trio-Bites will be happy to know that they will continue to be found in Disney’s Animal Kingdom and will move to Eight Spoons Cafe on Discovery Island!

Likewise, a number of flavored Dole Whip floats will be found in the Warung Outpost in Asia following the closure of Trilo-Bites.

When Dino-Bites closes, guests will have to head to Tamu Tamu Refreshments and Anandapur Ice Cream Truck to find soft-serve ice cream, floats, and sundaes. Disney says that hand-scooped ice cream will return at Disney’s Animal Kingdom in February.

DINOSAUR & Restaurantosaurus Closing Date

It’s important to note that the previously announced DINOSAUR closing date is not changing. DINOSAUR will have its final day of operation on February 1, 2026, closing permanently on February 2, 2026.

There is also no change to the previously announced Restaurantosaurus closing date, which will close the same day as the DINOSAUR attraction.

We’ll close out with some thoughts. I’m very happy that Disney is closing areas that are ready for construction. With many of the fan-favorite snacks moving to other locations, there is no reason to keep these snack stands open. This is especially true if the nearby demolition/construction site is ready to swallow them up and continue the transformation of the area.
