New video from WESH, a local news station, gives us an updated look at some work going on around Walt Disney World property. First, the video, followed by some noteworthy screenshots. Please note that there is a sharp and loud contrast in the video between the commentator and air traffic control throughout the video.
First up is the Magic Kingdom. Not too much to see here besides an overview and Mickey’s Royal Friendship Faire.
A look over at the TTC shows the expanded parking lot and pond Hidden Mickey.
Progress on the bungalows at Fort Wilderness Lodge.
Making our way over to Epcot we can see the giant solar panel Hidden Mickey from the air.
We’ve pointed out the newly opened third theater for Soarin in red, with the existing theaters under the blue arrow.
Hollywood Studios is where the bulk of the progress can be found (only because the chopper didn’t fly over Animal Kingdom).
Here’s the new fireworks launch pad.
And the retention pond that makes the nightly fireworks show off-center.
A new access road is being built for construction crews working on Star Wars Land and Toy Story Land.
Speaking of Toy Story Land and Star Wars Land, we’ve circled where we think they’ll go. Toy Story Land in blue and Star Wars Land in red.
That’s it for the Walt Disney World portion of the video. We LOVE viewing Walt Disney World from the air and hope you enjoyed this update.
P.S. If there are any chopper pilots with an extra seat, let us know!
