We stopped by Disney Springs briefly and while we were there we decided to take a look at the latest progress on The Edison. The space is set to be themed to a lavish “Industrial Gothic” feel, modeled after a 1920’s-period power plant. Slated to open in “Late 2017” the restaurant is one of the last pieces of the puzzle for “The Landing” district in Disney Springs. Here’s a look at the current progress.
Currently, the side and rear of the building have yet to be finished.
Moving to the front of the building, we get a much better feel for what the completed facade will look like.
A closer look reveals openings in the facade for what could eventually be lighting.
A look at the concept art on the wall as well as the target completion date (season).
The Edison will feature exceptionally good classic American food, craft cocktails and live entertainment including cabaret and music. As you can see above, it is slated to open in “Late 2017”.
Dang it! I was really hoping it would make it open during the spring 🙁
