TSA Reverses Decision on “Thermal Detonator” Souvenir Coca-Cola Bottles from Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge; Will Be Allowed on Flights as Carry-on or Checked Luggage

The Transportation Security Administration has officially reversed their initial policy on the “thermal detonator” souvenir Coca-Cola bottles guests can purchase in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.

According to the Orlando Sentinel, the TSA has completed their review of the ban, and reversed their initial decision to not allow the bottles. People who want to take them home as souvenirs should put them in checked baggage or empty the cans and stick them in a carry-on item, the TSA said.

On Friday, TSA issued a new statement, saying, “We have completed our review, and instructed our officers to treat these as an oversized liquid.”
