Florida Governor Issues Statewide Stay at Home Order Through April 30th

UPDATE: An earlier version of this story noted DeSantis said “30 days” from the start of the order. In the text of the executive order, the expiration is April 30th. Original story continues below.

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has issued a statewide Stay at Home executive order that will go into effect April 3rd at 12:01am and last through April 30th. By issuing this order, DeSantis has superseded the Orange County and Osceola County Stay at Home orders that previously covered Walt Disney World Resort through April 9th.

The Walt Disney World Resort theme parks and resorts are closed indefinitely. This Stay at Home order effectively ensures that the parks and resorts won’t be open until May. Floridians are urged to stay at home and only leave for essential activities.
