New Paint Scheme for “it’s a small world” Facade Revealed at Magic Kingdom

The first section of construction scrim has been removed at Magic Kingdom for the “it’s a small world” attraction, and it looks like Disney is changing up the paint scheme a bit for the facade.

First, it’s worth noting that a majority of the attraction facade is still behind the colorful scrim. The section of facade that we’re going to take a look at is in the far end of the photo below.

Here’s a look at what is marked as the “stand-by entrance”. It’s worth noting that this might eventually be used as the main entrance to the attraction, but it isn’t being used today. Also worth noting is a different choice in color compared to the most recent version of the attraction facade. Here’s a look at the entrance as seen today…

…and here’s a look at it from before the work began.

Here’s another look at it from earlier today…

..and a look at the blue paint scheme from earlier this year.

In this final photo from earlier today, we can also see that the neighboring section to the left of the pink entrance is now green.

In the file photo below, you can see that this section to the left of the entrance used to be pink.

Of course, we expect the sign to return in the coming days or weeks as more of the scrims come down.

    1. That crowd is INSANE. How on Earth is that supposed to be no more than 35% of capacity? And even if it is, it’s way too much. So glad we visited in October when case numbers were relatively low and visitors much less than this!

    2. Yeah, this specific place was bad back in Nov when I was there. It’s usually more crowded through here, but the current situation is making it worse. These constructions walls for Small World go out a ways into the walkway (at least a wait line width), plus the Small World line goes along outside there, plus you have the Peter Pan line running down the outside of the attraction on the other side. So this area is a lot narrower than “normal”.

Keep in mind that I believe 50% of capacity is around “normal” regular crowd levels (excluding super busy times of the year), so 35% isn’t really that far off.
