As Disney World continues their phased reopening following the COVID-19 closures, more restaurants, shows, and entertainment will return in August. Here’s a timeline of all of the announced August reopenings at Walt Disney World.

Hall of Presidents – Magic Kingdom
Disney has announced that Hall of Presidents will reopen in August, but hasn’t announced what date it will return on. We’ll update this post when an exact date is announced.
August 1
Wonderful World of Animation – Disney’s Hollywood Studios
Nighttime entertainment will return to Disney’s Hollywood Studios with the resumption of the Wonderful World of Animation projection and fireworks show. Fantasmic remains closed, and our own rumor points to a 2022 reopening.
August 2
Pizzafari – Disney’s Animal Kingdom
Fun animal murals and mosaics at Pizzafari Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park are the colorful backdrop to a delicious quick meal beginning August 2, 2021. Pizza rules in this jungle but you can also order a Chicken Parmesan Sandwich, Green and Grains Salad, and an adorable “Spaghetti and Meatball” Cupcake. Kick back with a refreshing Blue Lagoon with blue curaçao beverage syrup, lemonade, and gummy worms – also available with a glow cube and with or without rum!
August 5
Yachtsman Steakhouse – Disney’s Yacht Club Resort
Yachtsman Steakhouse will soon be stoking the flames of their oak-fired grills so we can again savor their premium, grain-fed steaks or the dry-aged Duroc pork chop served with heritage grits, broccoli rabe, and apple-cognac gastrique.
In addition to the great steaks and chops, the Chilled Admiral’s Tower for Two (Maine lobster, snow crab, tuna tartare, jumbo shrimp, mussels, scallop ceviche, and charred octopus salad) is back as well as the signature creamy Lobster Bisque and the delicious Yachtsman’s Chocolate Cake for Two with dark chocolate mousse, chocolate decadence cake, mixed berry curd, peanut butter crunch, and mousse.
Toledo – Tapas, Steak & Seafood – Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort
Small bites and more are back at Toledo – Tapas, Steak & Seafood at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort. This rooftop restaurant offers wonderful views of the surrounding theme parks and hotels.
Columbia Harbor House – Magic Kingdom
Starting August 5, you can reel in some delicious seafood at Columbia Harbour House at Magic Kingdom Park! Your seafood favorites are back, including the Lobster Roll and Trio Platter with a combination of fried fish, fried shrimp, and chicken strips served with hushpuppies and french fries or green beans. Craving something other than seafood? Try the Lighthouse Sandwich (hummus with tomato and broccoli slaw on multigrain bread) now comes with french fries or the Harbour Salad – a mix of greens, shredded cheddar, apples, onion, apple cider vinaigrette, and topped with chicken strips.

Atlantic Dance Hall – Disney’s BoardWalk Resort
According to signage spotted outside of the location, Atlantic Dance Hall will be reopening August 6.
August 8
Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor – Magic Kingdom
Mike Wazowski and other monsters will once again be bringing laughs to Magic Kingdom as the Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor returns.
August 10
Disney After Hours Boo Bash – Magic Kingdom
Disney’s spin on a Halloween event, Disney After Hours Boo Bash kicks off August 10 at Magic Kingdom.
August 15
Beauty and the Beast Live on Stage – Disney’s Hollywood Studios
A tale as old as time returns to Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Relive the romance and magic of a tale as old as time in a lavish Broadway-style musical version of Beauty and the Beast.
August 21
Turtle Talk with Crush – EPCOT
Gather around a window to the ocean for a conversation in real time with your favorite totally tubular sea turtle. Take a seat at Turtle Talk theater and watch as the turtle from Disney and Pixar’s Finding Nemo swims up close. Through the amazing technology of the hydrophone, he can communicate directly with land-based dudes and dudettes about almost anything that’s on their minds.
August 26
Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge
Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge will reopen to guests on August 26 after being closed for more than 17 months.
