Yesterday, a new window was added to the illustrious lineup of windows on Main Street USA that pay homage to various leaders and influential people within The Walt Disney Company. From Walt Disney to X Atencio, Mary Blair to Marc Davis, one of the highest honors that a person can obtain is to have their name on a window on Main Street USA. Yesterday, four recently retired individuals received their own window on Main Street USA, and we went to get a closer look at the window this morning.
- Phil Holmes, former VP of Disney’s Hollywood Studios
- Trevor Larsen, former EVP of Facilities & Ops Svcs for the Disney Parks & Resorts worldwide
- Jim MacPhee, former Disney World Operations Executive
- Djuan Rivers, former VP of Disney’s Animal Kingdom
The window is located above a merchandise window display for The Emporium, and near the Casting Agency door that has become a popular photo op for newly hired Cast Members.
As you can see below, the window was added next to the existing window for Meg Crofton, the former President of Walt Disney World.
The new window advertises the “Academy of Talent Education & Training” with the tagline of “Inspiring Success for a New Century”.
The “faculty” of the fictional academy includes the retired leaders listed above in the following roles:
- Phil Holmes – Operational Excellence
- Trevor Larsen – Engineering Leadership
- Jim MacPhee – Talent Development
- Djuan Rivers – International Operations
