The iconic Mickey Pumpkin lamppost decorations were installed last night at Magic Kingdom as the nearly 50-year-old theme park prepares for a scaled down Halloween for the second year in a row.
Starting on August 10th and running on select dates through Halloween, Disney After Hours Boo Bash is Disney’s attempt at balancing a 50th Anniversary celebration and the Halloween season. While many guests will certainly want to experience the new nighttime fireworks show Disney Enchantment, Disney is still attempting to whet the appetite of Halloween fans by putting together a spooky event after the park closes to regular guests. In October, as part of “The World’s Most Magical Celebration” that gets underway Oct. 1 on the Walt Disney World Resort’s 50th Anniversary, the festive pumpkin decorations will receive a magical transformation inspired by the enchanting story of Cinderella.
