BREAKING: Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Scheduled to Reopen July 27th at Hollywood Studios

According to the Disney World attraction calendar, Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster is scheduled to reopen July 27th at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The attraction closed in early January for what will turn out to be a more than 6-month refurbishment. Disney World has previously called the refurbishment “routine”, but rumors suggest that the work was overdue. Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster has had several periods of unexpected downtime in recent years.

This is the second year in a row that Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster has experienced a multi-month refurbishment. Last year, the coaster was closed from late February to late May. This year’s closure was twice as long, suggesting more substantial work on the ride. It is rumored that the ride system itself received upgrades during this year’s refurbishment.

We have reached out to Disney World for more information about the refurbishment and reopening. We will update the article should we hear back.
