One Day After Parade Taping Dates Revealed, Magic Kingdom Passholder Reservations Are Full

Annual Passholders hoping to visit Magic Kingdom on Wednesday, November 11th will need to pick a different park. Disney’s park reservation page shows Magic Kingdom unavailable to select that day. November 11th is the second of two 2:00pm daytime performances of Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade for the ABC holiday special taping. Here’s the latest.

Magic Kingdom Passholder Reservations at Capacity for ABC Christmas Parade Taping

IN THIS ARTICLE:

  • What Disney’s reservation page shows for Magic Kingdom on November 11th.
  • Which parks Passholders can still reserve that day, their hours, and how park hopping works.
  • How the date fits with the daytime parade performances.

Magic Kingdom is the only park Passholders cannot currently select for November 11th. The page lists the park’s hours as 9:00am to 10:00pm that day, but the Select button is grayed out, indicating that reservations are full. This follows our report of the 2:00pm daytime performances for the ABC holiday parade taping.

Parks Passholders Can Still Reserve

Animal Kingdom, EPCOT, and Hollywood Studios all show an active Select button for November 11th, and each lists a full day of hours. Here are the hours Disney lists for that date:

  • Animal Kingdom: 8:00am to 6:00pm
  • EPCOT: 9:00am to 9:00pm
  • Hollywood Studios: 9:00am to 9:00pm
  • Magic Kingdom: 9:00am to 10:00pm (unavailable to select)

Disney says guests with Park Hopper benefits or an Annual Pass can visit a second park after entering their first. That visit is subject to capacity limitations. We think park reservations do little to manage crowds, since guests can tap into another park first and hop to Magic Kingdom later in the day. It mostly adds an extra step and inconvenience for guests. Reservation availability can also shift as other guests change plans, so checking back before the 11th is worthwhile.

Parade Taping Day at Magic Kingdom

Walt Disney World scheduled the daytime Christmas parade performances for November 10th and November 11th. The seasonal parade usually rolls down Main Street USA only for party guests after dark. However, for the annual Disney Parks holiday special parade, taping is done during the day, allowing guests a rare chance to see the parade for free early in the holiday season.

Watching takes some planning. In 2024, Disney blocked off Main Street USA entirely, as we noted last year. Disney routed guests through backstage areas to keep them off camera. The parade still travels its full route, so Frontierland and Liberty Square should offer good views, and Cinderella Castle is likely another good spot, although crowds will gather there.
