After taking a look at the new mobile stages in use for the Star Wars: A Galaxy Far, Far Away stage show, we decided to check up on the progress for Sunset Seasons Greetings on Sunset Blvd. Let’s take a look.
The projection tower at the end of Sunset Blvd has an array of 6 projectors installed.
Several trees have been removed and heavily trimmed in the line of sight of the projectors.
Lights have been installed along the ground in the photo above.
We also tried to accurately represent the odd angle these projectors will be shining on Tower of Terror from. The below photo shows the projection tower behind a green scrim and Tower of Terror. This represents a nearly 60° angle when compared to a straight on view of the facade. Of course, Tower of Terror itself sits at an odd angle when viewed from Sunset Blvd. We’ll be interested to see if more projectors are installed at a secondary location or if the image quality will be good enough from this odd angle.
Christmas lights have been installed on the shrubbery nearby since our last photo update.
Sunset Seasons Greetings will debut November 9th at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
