Epcot’s International Gateway Ticket Booths Completely Demolished; Walkways Adjusted as Construction Continues

Big changes continue to take place at Epcot’s International Gateway ahead of the completion of the Disney Skyliner gondola system. Over the past few months, we’ve seen a variety of walkway routes through the construction, and there is another new route in place today. While taking an updated look at the Ratatouille construction, we decided to get an update on the latest walkway adjustments and demolition as well.

We start just inside the relocated bag check, which is now on the Epcot resorts side of the Friendships dock. The Friendships are technically outside of the bag check area, but bag check takes place right when you disembark the boat at Epcot.

The walls have been pushed back even further towards the Disney Skyliner station.

Thanks to the complete demolition of the ticket booths, construction walls have been pushed closer together, creating a small walkway between the Disney Skyliner construction and the ticket booth demolition.

A closer look at the area where the ticket booth used to stand.

From inside Epcot, we can see the demolition in the foreground and the Friendship bag check tents in the background.

The tap points to enter Epcot remain stationed in front of the World Traveler shop as guests are rerouted past the demolition as seen above.

Disney hasn’t stated what the final product will look like when construction is finished, or even a timeline for the work. We imagine that it will be completed in time for the opening of the Disney Skyliner gondola system this fall.

As always, keep checking back with BlogMickey.com for the latest on this project and many more projects from around the Disney Parks.
