With the news of the closing of Electric Umbrella and Pin Central coming earlier today, more construction walls are on the horizon for Epcot.
This afternoon, we have a sneak peek for you of what the digital map will look like when the next round of updates comes to the My Disney Experience app and Walt Disney World website.
First, here’s a look at what the map looks like as of publish time.
And here’s a look at what the map will look like with the next update, likely next week.
As you can see, guests will no longer be able to access Electric Umbrella or Pin Central, and the rest of Innoventions West has disappeared into the green grassy area, aka behind construction walls.
To enter Epcot proper, guests will have to use one of two bypass walkways to the right and left of Spaceship Earth.
To the right of Spaceship Earth as you enter the park will be the bypass to The Seas and Future World West. This pathway is actually open now, having debuted on New Year’s Eve.
To the left of Spaceship Earth will be a walkway that will take guests past Guest Relations, and around the east side of the Innoventions buildings as they pass the Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind construction site. This pathway isn’t open just yet, but we’ve recently seen a portion of it open near Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind.
For a tour of what the construction walls look like as of right now, check out our walk-through below where we take a lap around Future World to document its current state.
