runDisney Expedition Everest 5K Sells Out Within Minutes, Runners Flock to Throwback Events

    As part of runDisney’s “Springtime Surprise” race weekend, a few runner-favorite-“inspired” races have returned such as the Expedition Everest 5K and Tower of Terror 10-miler.

    The Springtime Surprise races went on sale at 2pm EST today, and the Expedition Everest 5K showed as sold out within 20 minutes of going live.

    The Expedition Everest 5K is a runner-favorite due to the hybrid race/scavenger hunt style of the event. The Springtime Surprise Challenge also sold out within the first 30 minutes.

    1. It seems like a huge oversight to offer a race themed to an attraction when that attraction will be down for refurbishment.
