While visiting EPCOT recently, we noticed that something was missing from in front of the Imagination Pavilion in World Celebration. The directional signage and map seen below has been removed from in front of the iconic structure. Perhaps Figment’s arrival at Walt Disney Imagineering headquarters back in November can simply be explained away as a wrong turn, and not some elaborate scheme to announce an Imagination Pavilion overhaul.
Before we take a look at the Imagination Pavilion from our visit to EPCOT this morning, here’s a look back at the sign that we’re talking about.
And here’s a look at the area today.
The sign was removed for a few weeks back in Fall 2020. No word on if or when the sign will return, but the presence of the construction box would suggest that the base still exists and the sign will return at some point.
