Peter Pan’s Flight to Reopen from Refurbishment Early at Magic Kingdom

According to the Walt Disney World website, Peter Pan’s Flight will reopen early from refurbishment. The Fantasyland attraction now has operating hours for tomorrow, August 16th. Previously, Peter Pan’s Flight was scheduled to reopen on August 21st.

Disney World did not respond to requests for comment about what would change at the attraction, but it is assumed that the insensitive Native American scene will be removed or modified.

Back in 2021, we wrote an article about how Disneyland Paris digitally altered an official ride-through video to remove a depiction of Native Americans. That move, along with other recently announced changes (at the time) to Splash Mountain and Jungle Cruise, made us think that Disney would turn their attention to Peter Pan’s Flight next, but nothing has happened yet.

The last substantial refurbishment for the ride was back in early 2019.
