Club Cool in EPCOT has all-new, clear plastic cups. The new cups debuted recently, and feature the Coca-Cola logo on opposing sides of the cup. We made it out to EPCOT recently to take a look at the new cups and learn a bit more about the recent change.
New 100% Recyclable Clear Plastic Cup at Club Cool in EPCOT
Club Cool, which is a Coca-Cola sponsored location where guests can try soda from around the world, has debuted new clear plastic cups – a departure from the paper cups of the past. The change comes as Walt Disney World continues to make changes around the theme parks and resorts toward a more sustainable future.
Here’s a look back at the old paper cups, which typically contained Coca-Cola branding, but also were unbranded for a period of time.
Officially, Walt Disney World tells us that the new plastic cups are “100% recyclable” when we asked about the change. This would support Disney’s mission toward a more sustainable future. Disney has previously announced their intention to “achieve zero waste to landfill for wholly owned and operated parks, resorts, and cruise line by 2030”.

In speaking with Cast Members at the location, they said that it’s possible that the change was spurred due to the paper cups being difficult to recycle. In short, you can imagine the mushy mess that the paper cups would turn into at the bottom of a trash can throughout the day as they sat in liquids.
While the new cups are still single-use plastics, they will reportedly be much easier to recycle.
