The Halloween season is in full swing at Walt Disney World, and that means the return of Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at Magic Kingdom! The first couple of events took place last weekend, and we were in attendance on opening night to capture what’s new and some returning favorites. In the “returning” category is Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular fireworks show. Here’s a look!

Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular is the exclusive fireworks show for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. The show takes place at 10pm on party nights, and while fireworks can be enjoyed around Magic Kingdom, this show puts a premium on not only Main Street USA views, but up-close views as well, thanks to projection effects on Cinderella Castle and a very special appearance.
The reason that you’ll want to be up close is to see the wonderful, larger-than-life Jack Skellington puppet that is on the Cinderella Castle stage. Jack Skellington is the host for the fireworks show, and he appears twice during the show. The closer you are to the stage, the better your view of Jack Skellington will be.
Of course, you want to try and balance that by being far enough back to see the fireworks exploding above and behind Cinderella Castle. We decided to split the difference by watching from just “in front” of the Partner’s Statue. That is, we had the Partner’s Statue behind us as we faced Cinderella Castle. That ensured that we were far enough back to just see the fireworks above the spires of Cinderella Castle, while also being close enough to enjoy good views of Jack Skellington.
