PHOTOS: Latest Aerial Look at Grand Avenue (August 2017)

We took to the skies this morning to check out the progress of several projects around Walt Disney World property. First up is the Grand Avenue area of Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Formerly the Streets of America, Grand Avenue will serve as one of the entrances to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.

This first view is from Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, looking back down towards Grand Avenue. You can see the MuppetVision 3D building on the right of the image and the last-standing Streets of America facade on the left. You can also see the entrance to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in the lower left of the image.

A reverse angle of the above photo really highlights how narrow the roadway will be.

The final look we have at the new area shows the progress made in the outdoor area nearest BaseLine Tap House. You can see the new pavers in red in the middle of the image below.

Grand Avenue will open this Fall at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

Make sure to check back for more aerial photos around Walt Disney World today and through the weekend!
