Land clearing has begun for the Tron roller coaster at Magic Kingdom. The clearing is taking place at the back of the plot of land and not visible from within the park just yet. Construction crews will have to clear roughly 8 acres of trees and make some modifications to the pond in the area, as outlined in the permits.

Here’s a look at the area that will need to be cleared.

Disney has stated that the Tron roller coaster will debut in time for Magic Kingdom’s 50th Anniversary in October 2021. Permits filed recently suggest that construction will be completed sometime in the summer of 2021.
