Latest Look at EPCOT Entrance Fountain and Newly Installed Theming Elements

While taking a lap on the Epcot monorail recently, we were afforded good views of the Epcot entrance fountain and some of the latest work Imagineering has done to it. As a reminder, here’s concept art for the fountain.

As the masses funnel into Epcot and choose one of two paths, all must pass by the expansive construction site at the front of the park. Here’s a look at what’s just on the other side of the construction walls.

A reverse angle of the fountain reveals some newly installed theming elements. Imagineering has been testing various rocks and concrete forms to see how water will flow when it’s complete. It’s likely that the wedge we see below isn’t the final look.
