Over the past few days, crews have been installing temperature screening tents at the Transportation and Ticket Center. For those unfamiliar, the Transportation and Ticket Center is essentially the hub of transportation to Magic Kingdom and EPCOT. Just like this location serves as a centralized location to complete bag check, it will also be used for the mandatory temperature screening each and every guest will undergo before heading off to Magic Kingdom.

The tents serve two purposes. The first is to keep the Advent Health employees who perform the screening as cool as possible throughout the day. The tents also serve as a cooldown area for guests who have an initial screening above the 100.4 limit. After cooling down for a few minutes, guests will undergo a second screening. If they still have a temperature above the limit, their entire party will be denied entry into Walt Disney World.

Here’s a look at a similar tent setup at Disney Springs. Of course, the screening can take place outside of the tent as it is a covered parking garage at Disney Springs.

The tents typically have water and a place to sit to cool down.
