Disney World Begins Reversing Errant, Excessive Annual Pass Charges

As part of a “system update” yesterday, many Annual Passholders noticed that Disney had charged them multiple times. Annual Passholders noticed anywhere from two to five months worth of charges hit at one time.

Of course, this was not a change to the written policy of suspending monthly payments during the park closure, but actually a “glitch” in the payment system that led to excessive payments. This isn’t the only glitch that has taken place since Disney announced the park reopening, but it is the only one that Disney has confirmed.

Many guests who attempted to get a Disney Park Pass reservation on June 22nd experienced widespread glitches, that Disney later blamed on “user error”.

It’s good to see Disney admitting fault with the excessive Annual Passholder payments, and taking swift action to remedy the situation. The reversals have been ongoing today, so let us know if you have seen a reversal of the errant payments.

    1. This was the second accidental payment glitch I’ve had from Disney since the closure. It’s a pretty itchy payment trigger finger over there.
Since I’m already paying for days I can’t visit while the park is open, why shouldn’t I pay for the time the park is closed??
Every time I talk myself into just keeping my stupid pass, they make me question it.
I can’t wait for the accidental 20% pass surcharge on all my in-park purchases. Or maybe the accidental $100 parking fee.

    2. Yes, I agree with you Mindy. I say that to myself also. Is it worth it to keep renewal of disney annual pass or cancel my pass. I got a charge of over $200.00 that I seen on my card. I freaked out badly. Tge annual is no good on park hopper, fast pass, and other restrictions. Is it really worth it to keep the annual pass. Disney need to give us passholder discounts of at least 30% off.
