Disney has made a last minute change to the Magic Kingdom park schedule, adding an hour to operations on Sunday, February 21st. Originally scheduled to close at 7pm, the park will now be open until 8pm.
If you’re planning on visiting Walt Disney World this weekend, expect to run into some crowds. While the overall park capacity remains capped at 35% of total maximum, the Disney Park Pass theme park reservations are sold out for today, February 20th. Disney already extended EPCOT park hours for today and with the extension now to Magic Kingdom hours for tomorrow, it looks like they anticipate (relatively) long waits and high pandemic-era crowds.
With cold temperatures around the United States and the end of some early Spring Breaks in the northeast, it looks like this may be the tail end of a relatively busy President’s Day week at Walt Disney World.
Crowds should be a bit lower as we approach the end of February before another uptick into March as nationwide Spring Breaks start to begin.
