Updated Look at Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure Construction at EPCOT

Ahead of commercial filming taking place in two weeks for Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, we wanted to take a look at the France Pavilion expansion area that remains behind walls. As a reminder, Disney opened a portion of the France Pavilion expansion to allow guests to access the new restrooms while the nearby Morocco Pavilion restrooms undergo a refurbishment.

As exciting as new restrooms can be, we’re eagerly awaiting the opening of the rest of the expansion area.

Today, we decided to take to the Disney Skyliner to get a look over the construction walls at any activity taking place in the area.

As you can see, there isn’t any visible construction taking place. It’s possible that some work is taking place inside the attraction, but BlogMickey.com sources have indicated that the attraction appeared to be completed weeks ago.

Disney hasn’t added social distancing markers to the queue yet – an indication that an opening is likely not imminent. Then again, we saw Disney adding social distancing markers the morning that they opened the France Pavilion restrooms, but it’s likely that they want to ensure that they are ready ahead of time for something as significant as a new attraction.

Heavy equipment has moved offsite and only a handful of cars are parked backstage.

While we’d bet that Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure is “ready”, it’s possible that Disney won’t open the attraction until closer to summertime in hopes that they will be able to welcome more guests at that time if guidance from government authorities changes as more and more people are able to take the COVID-19 vaccine.

As always, keep checking back with us here at BlogMickey.com as we continue to bring you the latest news, photos, and info from around the Disney Parks!
