As part of the announcement that MagicBands would no longer be offered as complimentary perks for Annual Passholders, Disney did say that there would be some new digital cards exclusively for Annual Passholders.
As you may know, guests who use the MagicMobile service add digital cards to their phone’s virtual wallet. These cards have a variety of designs for guests, and even a singular, exclusive design for Annual Passholders. In the photo below, you can see that we use the Spaceship Earth digital card.
While there are many designs to choose from, Annual Passholders will soon have some new exclusive designs. Disney has not revealed the designs for Figment or Orange Bird. Here’s the announcement:
As part of this new service, guests can choose from several Disney-themed MagicMobile Pass designs in the My Disney Experience app—and coming soon be on the lookout for new exclusive designs featuring Orange Bird and Figment just for Annual Passholders.Â
One thing that we’d like to see added as the MagicMobile service evolves would be custom light and sound patterns like some MagicBands have. Without that, a digital card with a Figment design is fun, but rarely seen – especially if you use the Express Mode. For a full review of the MagicMobile service, check out our article below!
